Changes to the 2021 Year 5 OC Placement Process and Exam Date
New 2020 Exam Date
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the 2021 Year 5 Opportunity Class (OC) placement process was put on hold in April 2020. The Department of Education has officially rescheduled the OC exam to Wednesday 16 September 2020, with applications to open from next Tuesday 9 June 2020 to Friday 26 June 2020.
Changes to the OC Selection Process
The biggest change to the selection process is that the student’s test mark will be used purely to determine placement. Therefore student’s school assessment marks for the year will be excluded.
It’s never too late to help your child to excel and maximise their OC test potential, and we highly recommend and invite your child to enrol into our OC trial test program and successful 4-hour examination event:
- Extra OC Trial Test Program (9 lessons); and
- SWAT exam held on the 9 August 2020.
By enrolling your child into our trial test program and SWAT exam event, you will better equip your child when it comes to sitting the real OC exam. Practice through sitting trial tests have proven to reduce test anxiety and improve performance, so when it comes to the ‘real deal’ on Wednesday 16 September 2020 your child will be ready to perform at their test best.
Speak to our Campus Director or call us on 9415 1860 for further information and for program enrolment. To enrol into SWAT, visit www.swatexam.com.au
