The Selective Written Assessment Test, or SWAT, is a 4-hour ‘big hall examination’ experience that occurs annually and is aimed at helping Primary school students in Years 3, 4 and 5 prepare for the Opportunity Class (OC) and Selective High School Placement Tests and Scholarship exams.
For Year 3 and Year 4 students, the SWAT paper follows the current format of the OC exam, including testing in English (Reading), Mathematics and General Ability.
For Year 5 students, the SWAT paper follows the current format of the Selective Schools exam (four papers), including testing in Writing, English, Mathematics and General Ability.
